Identity

The Wizard is the ultimate master of magic, using deep arcane knowledge to unleash devastating assaults on their foes. Though they wield most schools of magic in some capacity, their strength lies in manipulating its rawest forms: arcane, telekinetic, and electric. Where the Spellblade uses these schools physically, the Wizard handles them directly in their spells.

The Wizard’s toolkit is varied, capable of striking one target or many. They’re masters of the kill shot; when a powerful spell lands a killing blow, they can recuperate some of their mana as a reward for their precision and aggression.

Spellcrafting adds a creative dimension beyond choosing which nuke to cast. Out of combat, Wizards can research and customize spells. In combat, they can combine magical elements on the fly to adapt to the situation.

As the classic glass cannon of the roster, Wizards are fragile and mana-hungry, but if handled skillfully, none can compare to their sheer destructive power.

What’s Changing

The Wizard is pulling their spell schools away from the Elementalist’s territory. Elemental magic is being reduced in their arsenal to sharpen the distinction between the two classes. Their damage cycle is getting more variety, with better spell scaling and upgrades across the full level range. Spellcrafting is the main addition; research and in-combat customization give the Wizard a creative dimension that no other damage class has.

Their core identity stays intact. They’ve still got the biggest nukes, the most raw magical damage, and the high ceiling that rewards players who put in the work.
