Update 02: Mapping things out

Almost immediately upon kicking off the process, we broke down the Player’s Journey, so that we could define the features we need for the Proof of Concept, and track that work at a high level.

We manage this on a Trello board, since it provides a very easy format to maintain, with a simple visualization, and very little BS to bog us down.

Ali has been the primary in taking these feature cards and turning them into tools and features for us.

We’ve done the same with our Story & Worldbuilding work, and it’s also proving to be a good way to visualize and organize a lot of ideas at glance.

It’s a very simple way to approach such a large collection of features, but it’s worked for me in the past, and it’s working well for us to date.

And since we’re not going out of our way to reinvent the wheel on most things, it’s allowed us to make very fast and meaningful progress in a short amount of time.

Meetings to schedule meetings to plan meetings to discuss a thing we’ve seen 20 times before doesn’t make a lot of sense to us.
